With the pier in front of you, looking out to sea turn right, walk along the promenade, round the bend, past ‘May’s Boardwalk Café’ and it’s 3 huts along.

Suitable For?
Maximum of 6- 8 guests in and out of the hut.
Florence is perfect for families with children, with a gentle slope down to the beach a few paces away! If you have a larger group we do have Alice Hut and Summer Hut 40A/41A that is only 5 huts along so could be booked these at same time.

 

Can I bring my dog?

YES! Dogs are more than welcome, Southcliff beach is dog-friendly all year round. Please remember to clean up your dog’s mess. A spare bowl and poop bags are provided. Please do not leave dogs unattended in/out of the hut.

 

Where are the nearest facilities?
Florence is near to the Pier toilets (open all year round) and to the promenade toilets (April to October only).

The closest tap can be found 7 huts away, or 4 huts the other way, just past Mays Broadwalk Café.

 

Where can I Park?
Church Road car park, CO14 8DE.

Station car park, CO14 8DH

Millennium Square car park, CO14 8AF

 

There is also parking along the residential streets nearby.

What time can I arrive and depart? Can I sleep overnight?
9am-6pm (High Season) May, June, Jul, Aug, Sept*
9am-5pm (Low season) Apr, Sept, Oct
9am- 4pm (Winter Season) Nov, Dec, Jan

 

Unfortunately you cannot sleep in any Beach huts overnight.

How should we leave the Hut?
Exiting the hut?
Be kind and leave no trace behind! Tidy up after yourself by using the cleaning equipment provided and returning it to its rightful spot. Before you head out, dispose of any rubbish in the Main Promenade Bin.

Our Cancellation Policy – Let's Discuss
Unfortunately, we can't control the weather, but we can control our policy. If you need to cancel, please inform us at least two weeks in advance to receive a refund minus £20. However, if you provide less notice than that, we won't be able to provide any refunds. We apologise, but we cannot accommodate take-backs or date swaps.

  • Small amount of Beach Toys (we advise to bring your own)

  • Dust pan and brush/Broom/Mop

  • Washing up bowl and cleaning accessories

Today we hired out Florence for the first time. What a lovely day we had perfect location and so immaculate. My girls had the BEST day and we will definitely be back next year thank you for all your help. Xx

Hired an Alice hut today for the 9,999,999th time (wouldn’t go anywhere else for a hut). We expected rain and thunderstorms, which I was looking forward to, it’s great to watch from the warmth and shelter of the hut with a cuppa tea and book. But we were pleasantly surprised with a warm and dry day. Always plenty of toys for our son, plenty of seating and a table to sit outside and enjoy the lovely view. This was our first booking post Covid restrictions, and as expected the hut was spotless, with a variety of bacteria busting cleaning products available to use as you please. There’s an outside tap right next to the hut, we made several trips there with the anti-bacterial soap provided to wash our hands. We got there nice and early and fried up some bacon for butties to eat whilst watching the sea. It’s just the best day out, 10/10 every time. Thank you Alice Beach Huts x

Thank you for a great Father’s Day at the beach. The beachut was as lovely as ever and the kids enjoyed a walk and ice cream along the prom whilst the tide was in and then hours of fun on the beach which it was time for fish and chips on the way home. Can’t wait to book again 😊

We had an amazing day at Florence beach hut on bank holiday Monday. We were blown away by how lovely the hut was and how well equipped it was! We only brought food and drink with us and used all the bits and pieces to have a lovely afternoon tea! It’s really close to all the facilities and the beach. The weather was even kind enough to sunburn me despite being cloudy a lot of the day. We cannot wait to book and go again!

I booked Florence yesterday and it was our 1st experience of booking a beach hut but what I can say is we will be booking again! Easy to book, easy to park and find, lovely location. Everything you need is in there so well equipped. The children loved it and the beach is beautiful. We took a picnic but the cafe is almost next door. Looking forward to visiting again.

We had the best day today at the Florence hut. It was so well equipped with lots of chairs, a table and a parasol. Under the seats we founds some board games etc which was perfect for what we thought might be a wet day however we ended up on the beach with spades and buckets we found under there too. Thank you for a fantastic day. A super base for a brilliant beach day.

We had such a lovely day on Saturday and hired Florence which I would highly recommend. It is in a great location and was so lovely to be able to chill with a coffee whilst watching the children have fun on the beach. We will definately be coming back again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
