Where is Alice Beach Hut located?

With the pier in front of you, looking out to sea turn right, walk along the promenade, round the bend, past ‘May’s Boardwalk Café’ and it’s 8 huts along after that. It is Bright Lime Green so you won’t miss it and nor will children if on the beach!

Suitable For?

Maximum of 6 - 8 guests in and out of the hut.
Alice is perfect for families with children, with a gentle slope down to the beach a few paces away! 

Can I bring my dog?

YES! Dogs are more than welcome! Southcliff beach is dog-friendly all year round. Please remember to clean up your dog’s mess. 

Where are the nearest facilities?

Alice is near to the Pier toilets (open all year round) and to the promenade toilets (April to October only)
The closest tap can be found 2 huts away up a small flight of steps.

Where can I Park?

Church Road car park, CO14 8DE.
Station car park, CO14 8DH
Millennium Square car park, CO14 8AF
There is also parking along the residential streets nearby.

What time can I arrive and depart? Can I sleep overnight?

9am - 6pm (High Season) May, June, July, Aug
9am-5pm (Low Season) Apr, Sept, Oct
Unfortunately you cannot sleep in any Beach huts overnight.

How should we leave the Hut?

Exiting the hut?

Be kind and leave no trace behind! Tidy up after yourself by using the cleaning equipment provided and returning it to its rightful spot. Before you head out, dispose of any rubbish in the Main Promenade Bin.

Unfortunately, we can't control the weather, but we can control our policy. If you need to cancel, please inform us at least two weeks in advance to receive a refund minus £20. However, if you provide less notice than that, we won't be able to provide any refunds. We apologise, but we cannot accommodate take-backs or date swaps.


What will I find in the Beach Hut?

  • Cups/Glasses/Plates/Cutlery

  • Tea/Coffee/Sugar

  • Salt/Vinegar/Ketchup

  • Gas Stove/Kettle

  • Spare Portable gas stove under kitchen unit

  • Cooking Pot/Pan

  • Small amount of Beach Toys (we advise to bring your own)

  • Parasol

  • Fire Blanket/First Aid Kit

  • Dust pan and brush/Broom/Mop

  • Washing up bowl and cleaning accessories

We was lucky to book one of these beach huts for the second year running. We used Summer last year but had Alice this time and both were perfect. This was a last day treat for my little girl before she starts school and we had a great day. These huts are so well equipped, clean and in a fantastic location! Going to book early to make sure we can get there in the school holidays next year! Thank you so much can’t wait to come back.

Thank you Alice beach huts. We hired ‘Alice’ for the day and had a great time. The hut had everything we needed, it was clean and my son loved it!We will definitely be back again in the future.

Absolutely amazing beach hut! So well looked after and stocked. We braved the bad forecast and were treated to amazing sunshine but part of me is disappointed the weather wasn't bad so we could sit closely in "Alice"! Thank you, will definitely book again.
