The Artist's Retreat (Hut No.168 ) is located at the Low Wall in Frinton.
Parking with the easiest and nearest access for the beach hut is via Third Avenue to the Esplanade; CO13 9EL and parking here is free. A good point of reference when you are parking is to look for the Rock Hotel the ramp you need to walk down to the hut is opposite Third Avenue. Once you have parked, cross the Greensward and go down the ramp to the seafront. At the bottom of the ramp turn right and you will find The Artist's Retreat is just a few huts along (Hut 168). The nearest toilets are a few minutes walk to the from the hut towards 2nd ave and the Golf Club there is a thatched roof public toilet.
The beach hut is equipped for 6-8 guests. There is space for seating and relaxing as well as the promenade itself offering extra space for table and chairs should you wish. Plus of course, there is the wonderful sandy beach and huge greensward.
Inside The Artist's Retreat there is a:
4 Camping chairs to be used on the beach and/or greensward
Director chairs not to be taken on the beach
A bench for 4 (this is where the toys, buckets and spades are kept!)
Mugs and tumblers
Plates and cutlery
Washing up bowl
Tea, coffee and sugar
The closest refreshments are available in Frinton, where there are shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. To the left is Walton which offers shops, restaurants, cafes and the pier too. So, within a short walk each way there is a town that can provide you with all that you need!
Your dog is welcome at The Artist's Retreat and there is a dog bowl there for their use. Please refrain from your pet sitting on any soft furnishings.
Access to the beach hut is via a key safe which is located on the lefthand side of the hut.
Bin bags are provided so please remember to take your rubbish to the council bins along the promenade.
Please only use the kettle on the stove and DO NOT fry anything as it is a fire hazard
The beach hut is available from 9am to 6pm. If you are booking consecutive days you may stay in the hut until 8pm apart from the last day when you must leave by 6pm.
